Position Summary:
The Manager, Quality Engineering will facilitate the defining and delivering of quality within Lytx applications. This position is responsible for both people and product development. People development includes career planning, mentoring, project leadership, and team building for their scrum team(s). To ensure quality releases, the manager will need to collaborate with product managers and development engineers/leads. They will promote standards and practices within and across teams to balance speed, quality, and safety in software releases while also monitoring the product efficacy, service levels, and availability. The position requires deep technical background in systems, embedded systems, and test automation tooling. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to drive engineering practices that create great products and meaningful employee experiences.

You will get to:
• Manage engineers that are part of a Global engineering team spanning multiple time zones and product lines.
• Mentor team, resulting in purpose-driven engineers capable of rapidly delivering and learning.
• Partner with Test and Quality managers to build processes and tooling to ensure the delivery of high quality products.
• Contribute to the near and long term strategies of building out robust automated test suites.
• Work with leadership to devise proper resourcing and planning needs.
• Work with other managers/leads in the Quality organization for internal process improvements.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align testing objectives and address technical challenges effectively.

What you will need:
• Minimum 8 years managing Quality Assurance and or Quality Engineering team.
• Prior experience as a Technical Lead with proficiency in Python, C++, PyTest Framework, and UI test automation framework.
• Experience in testing embedded software including firmware with relevant automation frameworks, Bash, shell scripting, Data querying (SQL), comfort working in Unix environments.
• Strong knowledge and experience with test automation including unit testing, integration testing, component testing, API testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with CICD implementations and tools (Jenkins, TFS, and/or GitLab, Jira, Xray).
• Experience working in Global technology organization/managing work across multiple time zones.
• Strong knowledge and experience with test methodologies, QA process, and software release cycle.
• Deep understanding and Experience with microservices, API testing, backend testing, and related tools and technologies.
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to work across different levels of management.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities, demonstrated through related work experience.
• Perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes and competing demands.
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance as part of a team.
• Extensive experience in developing software in a scrum/Agile environment.
