Fräsch is seeking an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join our growing Logistics team in our Grand Prairie, TX business. This key position will handle the day-to-day activities of shipping & receiving for a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This includes scheduling inbound/outbound shipments and coordinating with Production, and Project Management and Administrative personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the shipping department by performing all required daily shipping transactions utilizing operation processes and systems.
  • Schedule freight pick-ups with carriers or 3PL services.
  • Process required small parcel shipments via UPS and Fed Ex.
  • Maintain shipping files, create, and update ERP Systems.
  • Communicate via daily production meetings, conference calls, and email with Production departments, Project Management, and administration.
  • Provide attention to shipping operational detail by getting freight quotes from transportation companies.
  • Understand and answer Project Management and Shipping Department requests in a timely manner
  • Ensure Project Management, Departments, and/or other required parties are kept fully informed of transport arrangements and status on a regular basis from pick up to delivery
  • Resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically, seeking input to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions
  • Handle accounting processes: on-time job closings, zero demurrage mindset, rate calculation communications, freight claims management, expedite fee documentation
  • Special projects and other assigned tasks.
  • Miscellaneous Administrative & clerical tasks as required.
  • General filing and document control.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Visual ERP software knowledge (preferred however not required, if not Visual, experience with using an ERP system)
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have 3 years prior clerical experience in a shipping capacity.
