The Chief of Staff (COS) serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO. As an experienced business leader, the COS makes high-level decisions, strategizes processes, develops meaningful plans, anticipates problems, and delivers solutions. This role is instrumental in optimizing the effectiveness of the executive office, ensuring alignment between departmental goals and the organization's strategic direction. The Chief of Staff will work closely with executive and senior leadership to coordinate projects, support the management of critical issues, and maximize efficiency and impact. Regular travel is required.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide thought partnership to the CEO and executive leaders on major strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide insight and support that consistently positions the CEO for greatest impact with Team Members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Partnering to establish meeting agendas, timelines, and accountability mechanisms to ensure that follow-up actions are clearly articulated and completed.??
  • Facilitate executive meetings as required.
  • Partner with the CEO to provide information, research, and data that supports high impact interactions with Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, and network.
  • Engage in meaningful external networking activities that support business outcomes.
  • Anticipate opportunities and challenges that may arise based on the cadence of the business.
  • Establish rapport, partnership, and effective relationships with executive and senior leaders.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of and commitment to organizational mission, culture, and values to guide and advise on important initiatives.
  • Foster effective communication, collaboration, and accountability across teams.
  • Identifies and acts on issues and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Engage in problem-solving, by gathering feedback, recommending solutions, and bringing to resolution.
  • Identify and recommend potential opportunities to incorporate innovative methods and emerging trends within area of expertise.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related field of study, or equivalent related experience.
  • Demonstrated success in providing strategic insight and guidance at the executive level.
  • Experience creating mutually impactful professional relationships and partnerships.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the PreK-12 space.
