The University of Pittsburgh’s Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) cultivates relationships with contributors, alumni, and other constituents on behalf of the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, generating support for teaching, research, and care. PAE is seeking a Senior Writer and Communications Project Manager to join PAE's communications team. In this role, Senior Writer and Communications Project Manager completes the following:

  • Prepares, develops, designs, writes, proofreads, and edits marketing and promotional materials in a timely and accurate manner, including diverse marketing media, brochures, newsletters, and website promotional materials.
  • Writes, edits, proofreads, and assists with print and electronic communications including, but not limited to presentations, news articles, fundraising appeals, marketing pieces, event invitations and programs, web, email, and social content, and print collateral.
  • Adapts language and tone of messages based on product, medium, and branding/style guidelines.
  • Develops, reviews, and maintains web content for public University websites.
  • Manages writing project review and approval process, and ensures all projects are delivered and distributed on time and to client/leadership satisfaction.

Job Summary

Mostly sedentary with occasional need to travel to assist with on-campus events in Pittsburgh.
