Summary

Chobani is looking for an individual who is an analytical thinker that can process a lot of information and make decisions based on said information. The candidate must be comfortable speaking in front of small groups, as this role will be required to present their findings to stakeholders frequently. The Procurement Analyst leads market analysis for sourcing initiatives and projects across various categories, manages strategic procurement activities and performs complex data analysis to identify new sourcing and cost optimization opportunities. Provides critical support to the Procurement team, aiding in the successful implementation of corporate sourcing initiatives that will drive the attainment of significant savings. The role's primary goals are to drive cost optimization and productivity opportunities, strategic sourcing, market intelligence, management of pricing and commodities movements, integral data insight for negotiations and RFx processes, management and measurement of operational excellence and implementation of best practices that will reduce costs and improve financial performance.

Responsibilities

Reporting

  • Contributes to the development and execution of the department strategy via four major areas of emphasis: financial goal delivery, enabling of innovation goals including target costing, improving work processes, and increasing the impact and value of Procurement initiatives
  • Use SAP analytics to drive actionable insight reporting to Category Managers
  • Craft and develop streamlined tools to help bridge Purchase Price Variance to the business
  • Analyzes industries, economic outlooks and supply markets, trends, and indices
  • Maintains Purchase Information Records (PIR) in SAP system to match the latest material prices
  • Build models that help assess/forecast productivity savings for productivity projects
  • Drives, integrates, and leverages category expertise by identifying sourcing opportunities and conducting RFx analysis
  • Analyzes demand forecasts, and category spend, driving value for Chobani through category savings recommendations and provides material price and savings forecasts including annual standard costs for financial and operational planning
  • Generates and analyzes data such as financial, statistical, and quantitative both internal and external (economic, industry, capacity, etc.) and performs total cost of ownership (TCO) models, making economically sound recommendations
  • Conducts regular business reviews with key Suppliers and leads supply programs to ensure contractual obligations are being met or exceeded through management of established KPI’s
  • Maintains strong linkages with Finance, R&D, Operations, New Product Development, and other collaborators to ensure alignment on objectives, prioritizing and managing activities appropriately
  • Generate materials in support of presentations, business reviews and negotiations

Strategic Sourcing Support (Indirect Category)

  • Contract compliance analysis which includes monitoring supply agreements and compliance
  • Perform spend and market analysis for the indirect category
  • Support all supply chain programs. Including supplier engagement and process improvement
  • Consolidate and report supplier performance through scorecards, using supplier capabilities and enhancing opportunities to meet quality, cost and service requirements
  • Regularly meets with internal customers to solicit feedback on Supplier performance and key areas for improvement, maintains critical metrics/scorecards and drives improvements for the Indirect category
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to procurement processes and policies
  • Develop productive working relationships with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal, Marketing/Creative, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, and Procurement
  • Support productivity goals and chip in to ideation to create project pipeline
  • Support category management plans and processes that meet risk mitigation and competitive objectives, while adhering to policy and process guidelines for business and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics or Supply Chain Management
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing environment; CPG and food ingredient environment preferred
  • Proven eye for business and strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to map and develop process improvements
  • Ability to form strong alignment with collaborators
  • Collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capability to drive and deliver objectives and move initiatives to implementation
  • Consistent track record of supporting initiatives that delivered business results
  • Skilled in use of Excel, PowerPoint, ERP/databases (SAP, Ariba, SharePoint)
  • Travel required: 25%-30%
