The Assistant Director is tasked with supporting non-traditional student populations such as transfers, commuters, and families. Work with Assistant Dean/Director and Associate Director to coordinate, conduct and establish short and long term planning activities 2. Coordinates and facilitates transitional programming for first-year students 3. Develop data-driven programs and resources to support non-traditional populations at Lehigh 4. Supervises OFYE Student Staff including Camp Hawk Counselors and preLUsion Leaders 5. Assists in the marketing and communications of office programs and services 6. Coordinate and implement programs and resources to aid in sophomore student success and retention 7. Work closely with the Student Affairs offices and University committees to best support first-year and second-year students in their transition to Lehigh Special Considerations Persons with disabilities who anticipate needing an accommodation for any part of the interview or hiring process may contact Lehigh's Accommodations Specialist at inada@lehigh.edu Variable Shifts/Schedule Frequent evening and weekend work This position works with minors This position has fiscal or financial responsibilities other than employee expense activity, such as processing or approving transactions; monitoring or preparing budgets; or generating income for University The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by their supervisor Qualifications Master's Degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs or the equivalent combination of education and experience One to three years of related work experience Strong organizational, communication and research skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve the office's goals and objectives Proficient analytical skills, experience in program development and implementation and the ability to provide tailored support to diverse student populations within a higher education setting Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position Only complete applications will be considered therefore please complete the application in its entirety.
