Description: Position Description

Response:
  • Respond to disclosures of sexual harassment and other sexual misconduct impacting College students by sharing resources, meeting with students, and providing information about options.
  • Coordinate supportive measures, including academic flexibility, housing flexibility, and other safety measures.
  • Thoroughly and accurately communicate options to impacted students, including available support resources available, connecting with police, and the process for filing a formal complaint for investigation.
  • Work closely with support systems at the College, including Resident Deans and other responsible employees, in navigating support for individual students.
  • Coordinate with the Program Officer on processes for prompt and consistent responses to disclosures, in compliance with College policies and Title IX.


Outreach and Education

  • Design and lead trainings to undergraduate students about resources and policy related to sexual harassment and other sexual misconduct at Harvard.
  • Support, as needed, trainings to responsible employees on responding to disclosures and Title IX compliance.
  • Partner with the Office for Gender Equity on guiding prevention education efforts with College students, including by creating written materials, trainings, and other forms of outreach.
  • Develop and manage writing and strategic communications for College Title IX, including the website, posters, social marketing, and other publications.
  • Work closely with the Office for Gender Equity to annually update the online training module "Preventing and Responding to Sexual Harassment and Other Sexual Misconduct" that all College students are required to complete annually.


Student Engagement:

  • Convene and support College Title IX's Student Advisory Board to provide feedback on the work of College Title IX and sexual harassment prevention efforts at the College.
  • Develop and systematize opportunities for student feedback and assessment of programs and services.
  • Partner with student organizations on training and education, support, and culture change.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience


Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work with students, student organizations, colleagues, clients and external organizations
  • Communication skills (both written and verbal)


Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office setting
  • May be required to work nights and weekends
