PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Welder is responsible to build / repair and maintenance of production molds. Assisting production department in assembly of molds is frequent and assisting Maintenance department in basic welding tasks. This position is concerned a Safety Sensitive Position.

Task and Responsibilities:

  • Process and organize products according to the blueprints and drawings.
  • Fabricating or Repair and Maintenance.
  • Assisting Line Workers or assembling Forms.
  • Pre-shift and end of shift equipment inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Participation in Safety Program.
  • Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies.
  • Model and lead our Nortrak Blue culture and values: (Respect, Responsibility, Curiosity, Courage, Passion, and Diversity).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Physical Demands:

  • Prolong period of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
  • Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 20-25 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Hearing abilities related to job assigned.


Job Requirements (e.g. education, experience, skills and desired competencies)

  • High School graduate or GED preferred.
  • Minimum one year of welding experience required.
  • Certified welder multiple positions, blueprint reading, operation of all fabrication equipment and techniques preferred.
  • Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred.
  • Must be able to work as a team member collaborating with colleagues.

Working Location:

  • Spokane, Washington

Salary:

  • $ 22.92/hr to $34.12/hr (DOE + contractual increases)
