Intern will support marketing efforts for 24 Division I athletic teams at Villanova University. Athletics Marketing Internship runs from August 1 – May 31.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee, plan and implement select fall, winter and spring sport marketing plans
- Schedule game day elements that include but are not limited to anthem performers, halftime and time out performers, and color guard
- Assist with game day operational responsibilities at all football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and other assigned games
- Create and facilitate a digital marketing plan including development of email databases and social media graphics
- Oversee and schedule the game day student volunteer program
- Support student attendance and The Nation student fan group
- Other administrative tasks as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing
- All duties and responsibilities must be completed in compliance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Willingness to learn
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Passion for sports and marketing
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Team-oriented and must be willing to work irregular hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sports marketing experience at either the professional or collegiate level
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop
- Social Media Management
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
- Candidate must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and evening hours.
