Summary:

The Industrial Electrical and Controls Specialist will complete project execution from system layout concept through to commissioning. Minimum 5+ years' experience. 2 or 4 year technical degree preferred or equivalent experience. This position will be responsible for assigned aspects of industrial electrical and controls project execution and must be able to manage time effectively across multiple projects.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

1. Electrical schematic and hardware design using AutoCAD.
2. PLC programming - Allen Bradley and other platforms.
3. HMI programming - Allen Bradley and other platforms.
4. Servo and motion control programming.
5. VFD programming and setup.
6. Manage personal schedule of responsibilities on multiple projects and communicate with team members throughout the process.
7. Travel to customer sites and other business locations is required
8. Work from office or at the client's facility.

Work Environment:

• May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness
• May work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels
• May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust
• May be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights

Physical Demands:

• This role could occasionally use construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools
• While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Could be required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus

Travel:

• May require travel (typically not overnight)

Preferred:

• Prior military experience
• HS diploma or GED equivalent
