Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally standing, walking with, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; standing for greater than 5 hours at a time; walking several miles per day; and performing repetitive motions (such as typing).
Shift
Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday. Non standard hours may be required for implementations or emergent issue resolution. This position reports to campus with some remote work opportunities.
Job Summary
The Associate Director of Pharmacy Automation is responsible for management of all pharmacy automation technology (includes >290 Pyxis stations, 2 Swisslog Boxpickers, 5 carousels) and proactively addressing risk points to maintain stability. Tasks include forecasting automation device needs, system/server design for future Enterprise demands, and direct troubleshooting of Pharmacy Automation issues. This AD role works with a smaller, core team of six automation analysts and partners with Pharmacy Operations to ensure optimal delivery of customer service through automation.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Excellent leadership and communication skills (written and verbal); clinical experience; knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations, as well as any other related laws and regulations; project management, inpatient drug distribution and dispensing, and supply chain and contract management experience; and the ability to prioritize; collaborate and work within a team; and motivate, lead, and educate a team.

PGY1/PGY2 ASHP residency training and/or supervisory experience highly preferred.
