Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist US-OR-Portland Job ID: 2024-29558 Type: Regular Full-Time # of Openings: 1 Category: Faculty/Provider Portland, OR (Downtown) Overview The Department of Psychiatry at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) has an outstanding opportunity for a BE/BC Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist interested in serving at the Unity Center for Behavioral Health, a 22-bed CAP Psychiatric Unit in a larger hospital which includes 80 Adult beds and a Psychiatric Emergency Service in Portland, Oregon. Unity Center is a collaborative effort to address the mental health needs of the community. OHSU’s Department of Psychiatry, in partnership with other major Oregon health systems, uses a non-coercive, highly community-oriented treatment program, which will prevent hospitalization when possible, and return patients to community services as soon as feasible. This is a unique opportunity for a creative, energetic child and adolescent psychiatrist to treat, teach, and advance their academic interests.
Responsibilities Academic rank begins at the level of Assistant Professor and may be higher, depending on credentials. All applicants must be board certified or board eligible (with certification planned/in process) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; experience, fellowship training, and/or board certification in forensics, addictions, and/or public psychiatry a plus.
