The Wellness Initiatives Coordinator is a full-time position within the Student Wellness Services Department supervised by the Assistant Director of Sexual Misconduct Advocacy & Education. The Wellness Initiatives Coordinator: develops and implements a comprehensive campus-wide Wellness Campaign addressing all eight aspects of wellness (Social, Emotional, Physical, Environmental, Occupational, Intellectual, Spiritual and Financial); provides outreach and education to students, faculty and staff; hosts weekly wellness events; co-chairs the JED Foundation committee, and serves as the Staff Advisor for the Wellness and Mindful Living Learning Community. This position will work in collaboration with staff from the Student Counseling Center, the Student Health Center, and other campus partners.

Essential Duties
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive campus-wide Wellness Campaign addressing all eight aspects of wellness (Social, Emotional, Physical, Environmental, Occupational, Intellectual, Spiritual and Financial).
  • Collaborate with campus partners (staff, students and faculty) on creation and implementation of plan.
  • Incorporate best practices for virtual and on-site programming.
  • Develop robust assessment and evaluation protocols utilizing Qualtrics, National College Health Assessment, and other tools to measure outcomes.
  • Oversee the use of social media platforms in communication of daily health and wellness messaging.
  • Update campus wellness information on third-party wellness platforms (i.e. Involve, Exploring Your Choices, etc.)
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of campus-wide wellness events (i.e. Wellness Wednesday, theme weeks, etc.).
  • Coordinate closely with Student Health Center, campus partners, outside Health providers/consultants, and area Public Health Departments.
  • Serve as the co-chair of the JED Foundation committee, a 4-year strategic plan to improve mental health and wellness prevention efforts on campus.
  • Serve as the Staff Advisor for: Reflect, a student organization. the Wellness and Mindful Living Learning Community in the coordination of Wellness initiatives in tandem with the Residential Life, Wellness and Mindful Living LLC RA, residents and advisory board of the LLC.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Foster a work environment that encourages knowledge, respect and development of skills to engage with diverse members of the La Salle community.
  • Remain competent and current through understanding trends of student wellness by developing contacts with relevant student groups, and attending training and/or courses required by the Assistant Vice President for Student Wellness Services and the Vice President for Student Development and Campus Life.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, or Health Sciences
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and wellness
  • Experience with data collection, analysis and program planning.
  • Excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively and collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Nursing or Health Science
  • Prior experience supervising student workers
  • Prior experience with multiple supervisors
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
  • Evening and weekend work required

The Wellness Initiatives Coordinator ( WIC) is a full-time, 80% (10 months) position within Student Wellness Services.

This position is an alumni donor funded position and, as such, this offer is contingent upon the continued availability of the gift’s funds. It is our current intention that this position will continue through May 20, 2025.
