Responsibilities
- Perform entry-level professional work, including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under direct supervision.
- Collaborate with project engineers to contribute to the planning, design, and execution of various structural engineering projects.
- Assist in analyzing reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs and performing site visits to plan and assemble construction documents.
- Utilize structural engineering software and tools to perform analysis, modeling, and simulations to support design decisions.
- Conduct site visits and field observations to gather data and assess project requirements.
- Be responsible for project quality on tasks assigned as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering from an accredited institution.
- Strong academic background in structural engineering fundamentals, including structural analysis, statics and dynamics, reinforced concrete and structural steel design, and geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in using engineering production software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar applications.
- Proficiency in using structural engineering analysis software such as STAAD, RISA, Enercalc, MATLAB, or other engineering analysis software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated commitment to learning and professional development.
- EIT certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus.
