Responsibilities

The successful Supply candidate will conduct and assist with warehouse operations in NIWC Atlantic buildings 3113 and 3419.

  • Perform Shipping, Receiving, and packaging functions.
  • Process requisitions for the fleet.
  • Transport material to and from various NIWC facilities.
  • Stage, Pack, maintain and organize material in NIWC staging areas and various NIWC warehouses.
  • Be able to use CMPRO and familiar with its usage for tracking, shipping, receiving and movement of inventory.
  • Perform Cyclic inventories.
  • Perform Yearly 100% on demand inventories.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 5 Years' experience with DoD material management
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license or already be in possession of a forklift license.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Understanding of Tagging and Labeling of material to NIWC standards
  • Familiar with Navy material management and tracking processes.
  • Ability to use tools such as CMPRO, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Word

Desired:

  • Current and past NIWC logistics work
  • Familiar with JIRA or similar trouble ticket system and Agile / Lean Principles

Differentiator:

  • Experience with NIWC warehousing.
