We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Services Manager, Contract Manufacturing role. This is a high impact management role that will drive the growth and expansion of our contract manufacturing and services business. As a member of the Product Management team, the incumbent will lead the service models and contract manufacturing portfolio of the business while collaborating within the Product Management team across the product portfolios and cross-functionally with the enterprise globally. This role will own and manage the end-to-end contract manufacturing process cross-functionally; from supporting customer engagement, through design and development, manufacturing implementation, and customer satisfaction management. This is a critical role in the organization as Product & Services Management owns and drives the strategy and performance of their product and service portfolios (‘book of business’) across the functions, customers, regions, processes, and technologies globally.

What will you do in this role?

Global Strategy & Management

  • Responsible for managing global enterprise-wide Service portfolio and model strategy and execution to increase revenue and profitable growth.
  • Manage the Sales opportunity pipeline of contract manufacturing programs, including customer and contract negotiation.
  • Lead and develop business cases for large-scale service model growth utilizing cross-functional resource and SME teams, including asset planning, investment management, pricing and cost analysis through leadership approval.
  • Develop long-range contract manufacturing capability expansion plans and global / regional growth plans, including insource / outsource partnerships and agreements.
  • Manage the positioning plans and tactics of all services considering price, performance, competitive position, and profitability.

Leadership

  • Continuously pursuing and investing in the development of their leadership, strategy, product management, influence, and all supporting skills as they grow and expand their careers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through development and transformation programs and drive problem resolution including all aspects of NPD, PLCM and product line optimization, S&OP and forecasting, product marketing / NPI, business growth and recovery, and improvement of profitability, OTD/P, Quality, NPD, and Inventory and related contract management.
  • Drive and support developmental relationships with suppliers and strategic alliances, partnering with R&D and Procurement in technology platform development to support NPD roadmap.
  • Leads and/or supports development of new markets, business models, and supports M&A, strategic partnerships, and private branding agreements.

Research & Intelligence

  • Monitor and assess competitive intelligence and as a result develop and implement proactive strategies to strengthen the product line’s competitive edge.
  • Lead and conduct market and voice of customer (VOC) research including OEMs, customers, and industry alliances, and validate internal BI and external data to drive decisions on development of product strategies, plans, and identification of new opportunities.
  • Gather and synthesize data to drive conclusions from key findings and proactively lead change company-wide to drive growth.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Process Engineering, Material Science or similar.
  • MS, MBA degree or an advanced degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of services, service models, and/or product management experience in manufacturing companies.
  • Consistent track record of managing contract manufacturing models.
