SEMICONDUCTOR SOLUTIONS

Job Purpose

As part of the R&D metrology group in the Semiconductor Solutions division, the candidate will utilize analytical techniques to support the development and analysis of new electroplating processes for the semiconductor industry. Primary responsibility consists of running HPLC and GC analysis of plating baths and additives for the electrodeposition of metals. We are looking for a enthusiastic scientist who is also a self-starter and eager to contribute to the company's growth in providing solutions for the leading edge of semiconductor technologies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzing electroplating baths to quantify organic additives present and characterize breakdown products with HPLC, UV-VIS, FTIR, and Gas Chromatography.
  • Develop analytical methods for new R&D formulations of strategic projects.
  • Document new procedures to be transferred to QC as part of new product development.
  • Perform and record accurate quantitative analysis on various solutions, interpret and prepare detailed reports curated towards internal or external customers.
  • Able to troubleshoot analytical issues experienced at customers and to support the teams in QC and production for out of control processes.
  • As a support role, collaborate with the various groups in R&D and other parts of the company relating to the electrodeposition of Cu, Co, Sn, SnAg, Ni, and Au.
  • Keep up with new techniques and methods developed in the field.
  • Ability to maintain instruments mechanically a plus.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Relevant industry
