Overview

The Senior Writer and Strategist will research, develop, and write content that aligns with the NYU brand and effectively impacts our target audiences—especially prospective and current students—in support of NYU Marketing Communications clients. They will also collaborate to develop marketing and creative strategies for clients in order to establish, strengthen, and communicate their identities and unique selling propositions, enhance reputational narratives, and broaden student recruitment efforts.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing, Advertising, or related field

Required Experience:
3+ years relevant advertising, marketing, promotional writing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent writing, research, organizational, consultative, and verbal communication skills. Ability to generate digital content for Admissions web space. Ability to write social media content that is engaging and shareable. Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels. Knowledge of standard office software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of web writing, web and email content strategy



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000 to USD $80,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
