Description:
SSI is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support a new Navy contract in Philadelphia, PA in late 2024. This full-time position will be mostly remote, with weekly visits to the NSWC facility in Philadelphia. The PM will be providing oversight and management support as the primary POC to a Navy front office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee of small team of Navy ship specialists and logisticians providing integrated logistics support and technical support services at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division.
- Provide management level recommendations and supervision of program tasks and scope of work to include: technical data systems development, maintenance planning support, support of joint logistics products and processes, design, development, testing and fielding support for joint technical data integration efforts.
- Ensure timely completion of technical data packages and other data support deliverables, technical data conversion, and distribution/management of technical data.
- Serve as the single point of contact with the government customer for all contract related matters.
- Ensure timely submission of all project deliverables: scheduling, finance, reports, etc.
- Review financial, cost control and metric analysis and report findings to the customer in formal meetings.
- Ensure compliance of personnel to both training and security policies.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or business from an accredited college or university
- Experience: Fifteen (15) years' experience managing Government contracts and/or task orders of a similar nature and complexity; to include five (5) years' experience managing the development, update, maintenance, and delivery of logistics technical data for United States Navy ships' systems.
- Experience must include planning, direction and management of department level programs
- Working knowledge of the Naval Sea System Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, and Fleet organizations
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills
- Detail oriented, schedule driven, with demonstrated ability to manage personnel
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- PMP Certification a Plus
- Minimum Secret Clearance
