Qualifications

RS&H is currently seeking a Transportation Engineering Associate to join our team in Tallahassee, FL.

The Transportation Engineering Associate in the Tallahassee, FL office will work with Engineers on engineering, transportation planning and design tasks, preparation of calculations and technical documents, and coordination with clients at various stages. This position performs basic engineering assignments requiring the application of standard engineering principles and concepts. This role helps perform design tasks and coordinates design and construction activities, studies, and various analyses.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0-3 years' relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of production software
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT
  • Coursework that includes Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, and Transportation Design
  • Experience with various CADD programs (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Previous internship experience
  • Experience within any of the following engineering disciplines:
    • Transportation planning
    • Highway design
    • Bridge and structures design
    • Water resources and permitting
    • Traffic (design, ITS, planning, modeling)
    • Tolling
