The Regional Retail Manager is responsible for leading all facets of sales, service, and operations of a region of branches within a defined geographic area. Drives daily sales process, leading teams to achieve sales targets, acquire new consumer and business customers, initiate referrals to partners, and deepen all existing customer relationships. Guide, direct and coach employees to deliver exceptional service to Nicolet customers and prospects.

As a Regional Retail Manager, you will:
  • Fosters a culture aligned to Nicolet's purpose, core values, and strategy and role models Nicolet values and behaviors in all that they do.
  • Works to improve the sales, service, and operational skills and behaviors of colleagues.
  • Participates in joint calling with colleagues and partners.
  • Improves team performance, recognizes and rewards performance, coaches employees, supports their development, and manages poor performance. Develops, maintains, and executes a region plan, including sales strategies, to achieve sales objectives and acquire new clients.
  • Creates innovative business development strategies, including collaborating with Nicolet partners to grow the business and maximize branch sales, retention, customer satisfaction, and minimize operating losses.
  • Oversees the onboarding process for new managers, mentoring, coaching and pipeline management ensuring all sales targets are met.
  • Responsible for acquiring and properly allocating resources necessary to support the team/region. Maintains knowledge and educates teams on all products, services, technology and Nicolet's policies.
  • Establishes and facilitates regular sales and staff meetings, promoting participation of all Branch Managers and partners, when appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains a network in the community to enhance Nicolet's visibility and builds strong referral sources for new business.
  • Supports Nicolet's community involvement and participates in community activities.
  • Creates a culture that attracts, retains and grows a team that values diversity, inclusion, and engagement.
  • Ensures proper operations/risk discipline, controls and culture are in place to identify, escalate and debate issues.
  • Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of retail lending experience. 5-10 years in the financial industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience a must.
  • PC, phone system, general office equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of retail banking products and processes.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Solid judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills to provide policy recommendations and reporting requirements to various committees and personnel.

  • Results oriented, good problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • High standards and initiative.
  • Ability to motivate and develop highly effective teams within a sales culture.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
