Job Description:

The Role

Semiconductors are in virtually every electronic product from video game consoles to sports cars. Entegris is seeking an Senior Mechanical Test Engineer to measure the reliability and performance of the Entegris solutions that make those products possible.

The successful candidate brings a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with their hands. The Mechanical Test Engineer will support the Product Design and Field Application teams by experiments to measure the mechanical properties and performance of microenvironment products.

What You Will Do:

  • Test the mechanical performance and reliability (e.g., yield strength, time to failure) of microenvironment products.

  • Design, propose, and execute experiments.

  • Build, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment, data acquisition systems, and test fixtures.

  • Develop new test methods.

  • Lead root cause investigations into field failures.

  • Collect, analyze, and report data.

What We Seek:

  • BS or MS degree in Science or Engineering discipline.

  • Preferred discipline: Mechanical Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering or R&D environment.

  • Creo® and/or SOLIDWORKS® user a big plus.

  • Statistical skills (e.g., Design of Experiments, Minitab, JMP).

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Data acquisition programming

  • Motion control

  • Instrumentation

  • Semiconductor industry experience

  • Cleanroom

  • Particle technology

  • Shock and vibration testing

  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.

The salary range for this role is $115K - $130K depending upon experience.
